EPW - Audemars Frères, Genève, signed as "A Fes" to mvt beneath escape wheel, minute repeater with triple calendar, moonphase and chronograph, 55mm, 18K gold OF original case, gold cuvette, white enamel triple-sunk dial, aperture in upper portion for calendar function, aperture in seconds-register for moonphase display, SW-pin-set, fully capped lever escapement with counterpoise, jeweled strike train down to hammers, likely 27-34J, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#20820 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 96.4 dwt (149.9 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, repeat function is inconsistent and is typically returning hour and quarter-hour strikes correctly but with minute strikes that are in error and following no discernible pattern, good chronograph function, calendar and moonphase indications advancing via slides under bezel, overhaul needed for repeat function, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, some typical micro-fine scratches; dial with small surface flake inside 2, radiating hls between 1 and 4, hl at 9:30, hl above seconds-register, hl below date aperture; excellent hands; case shows little wear, sizable but shallow dent of lower left rear shoulder, band and bezel each with few scattered nicks or mild dings, thin cuvette with dents and ripples at shoulder; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
